Chengdu Tianfu Community Youth Apartment
成都天府青年公寓位于成都市天府国际社区内，原有场地包含两栋多层建筑和连接加建的宴会厅，改造设计范围是沿街酒店的一层、宴会厅和内侧的住宅楼。
This youth apartment project is located in Chengdu Tianfu International Community; there were two multi-story buildings and an additional banquet hall in the middle. The design assignment is to convert the residential building and the banquet hall to a youth apartment and its supporting facilities.
我们试图通过该项目重新定义“青年生活圈”这一概念：由过去宿舍式的青年公寓单一功能向一个配套齐全、品质完善的居住社区转变，生活服务和文化交往功能在这类居住社区中变得越来越重要。因此，在设计策略上，我们将三栋建筑的底层看成一个整体，分成公寓大厅、文创书店、社群商业、美食集合和共享办公这五个部分，并试图通过这几部分的功能融合塑造一个全方位的年轻人的生活场景。
We are trying to redefine the concept of “Youth Circle of Life” through the project: a single function of the former dormitory-style apartment has been transformed to a fully equipped high quality living community, services and cultural interactions become more and more important. Therefore, we strategically look at the ground level of these three buildings as a whole, dividing it into 5 parts such as apartment hall, creative bookstore, community business, food collection and co-working space, and aim to create a full spectrum of young people’s life style according to the integration of these different programs.
文创书店是利用原有宴会厅的空间改造而成的，加建的二层环廊成为书店的载体，而首层空间通过对原建筑中拱元素的抽象，采用新的连续半透明拱墙形成开放的文创展示区。美食集合面对城市道路开放，我们在其中植入了10个大小不同的档口操作单元，并通过流动的空间带来灵活自由的餐饮方式。
The Creative Bookstore is based on the original banquet hall, the addition of cloister become the carrier of bookstore. By abstraction of the arch elements from the original structure, we introduced continuous translucent arched wall to form an open cultural display area. The food collection, which is opposite to the main road, was implanted 10 different sizes of operation units, providing flexible and free dining activities through the flow of the space.
该项目目前实施完成的是公寓和公寓大厅部分。在首层公寓大厅的设计中，为了遵循原有住宅的平面序列，我们采用了类型学的方式开展设计：6种不同使用类型的盒子被植入进大厅，盒子外表面为黄色，而对应其使用功能的区域为黑色。一条贯穿室内外的吧台将大厅的空间分隔成为可以互看和穿越的两个部分，同时又能够满足社群活动所需要的交往、聚会、路演等功能，这种体验式的设计方式给公寓大厅带来了社群文化展示和社群客厅交往功能的完好结合。
The project is currently realized on the apartment hall and the upper apartment. By following the original residence plan sequence, we introduce a typological design method into the apartment hall: 6 different types of boxes were implanted into the space, the outer surface of the box is yellow, while the functional space corresponding to its use is black. A bar room that runs though the interior to the outside divides the hall space into two part with a continuous sight view and the possibility to traverse. The apartment hall offers a space for community activities such as leisure, party and roadshow. This experience-style design brought a combination of the cultural and social community functions to the apartment hall.
作为一个升级版的青年公寓，我们依据原有住宅的结构布局设计了两个不同的公寓空间：一个是有着整面阳台的大开间studio模式，在完整的室内空间里，面对阳台的卧室、餐厨和工作台一字儿排开，力图最大化地争取阳光和景观；另一个公寓户型是自由流动的环形动线布局方式，餐厨、储存和卫浴在这个空间里被集成在一个中岛式的黑色立方体中，环形自由动线将公寓的玄关、卧室、餐厅等各个部分串联，从而创造了丰富有趣的居住体验。
As an upgraded version of the youth apartment, we create two different living units based on the original residence structure layout: one is a large panorama studio mode with a long balcony, the linearly arrangement of bedroom, dining table and kitchen stand parallel to the balcony, in order to maximize the sunlight and landscape. The other unit is a free flow living space with a loop circulation, kitchen, storage and bathroom facilities are packed into a single black cube in the center of the floor plan, the free loop connects different living space within the apartment, such as entrance, bedroom and dining room, thus enriching the possibility of living experience.
成都天府社区项目希望通过对年轻人的生活、工作和交往空间的设计思考来引导我们对新型居住模式和新生活方式的探索，从而创造一个全方位的“青年生活圈”的概念，并且希望通过这样的设计尝试，能够给城市更新中的居住空间命题带来一种可能的解决方案。
Chengdu Tianfu Community project aims to have the exploration of new residential mode and lifestyle according to the design and thinking of young generation’s life, work and social communication. We hope to illustrate the concept of “Youth Circle of Life” by the practice of this design project, and to propose the possible solution on the proposition of residential issues in this round of urban regeneration.
